Are you applying to UW engineering? SWE UW and Women in Science & Engineering (WiSE) have launched the Major Chairs Program to help undeclared engineering students understand the process of getting into an engineering major at UW.

We have selected almost 30 students, who have experience in research, internships, and academia, to represent every major in the College of Engineering, the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science, the iSchool, and the College of Arts & Sciences.

Our Major Chairs can help you decide which major is right for you, navigate your educational path, and get involved with research and RSOs on campus. They hold drop-in “office hours” frequently throughout the quarter and are also available to answer questions over email.

Apply to be a major chair!

The Major Chair Program is an exciting collaboration between the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Women Engineers Rise (WE Rise)!

Share your passion of your major with others! As a Major Chair, you can help Engineering Undeclared students understand various engineering majors at UW, as well as share information with other students already in the major to reach their personal & professional development goals.

As a Major Chair, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in your community, as well as gain leadership and mentoring experience - GOOD FOR RESUME ;)

If you have any questions, feel free to email uwswe.majorchairs@gmail.com.
